This homes basement had long been an issue. The space flooded often and the owners had pretty much written the space off. This is until they began wishing they could add that square footage as storage. Now they had a reason to upgrade. They had the plumbing upgraded and had John's out to waterproof the space. We installed our WaterGuard drain system along the interior perimeter of the room. This collects and channels the water to the new TripleSafe sump pump. This than sends all the water safely away from the homes foundation. We then installed our BrightWall paneling along the foundation walls. This will provide a semi-finished look for the space, which is easy to clean and will not rot or mildew. The owners are excited to make use of this space for the first time since purchasing the home. 

This family was tired of having their finished basement leaking, so they called on their local waterproofing experts at John's for help! When our Design Specialist arrived at their home, he was equipped with many years of experience, and was able to efficiently inspect the basement and offer waterproofing solutions to the owner. As the family was very eager to have the work completed so that they could finish their basement, we scheduled their job.

To waterproof the leaking walls, our crew of waterproofing experts installed 2 of our most effective basement waterproofing systems - ThermalDry and WaterGuard. These 2 systems work together to prevent water from entering your basement. Firstly, the ThermalDry Wall System is installed directly onto the concrete foundation walls. ThermalDry is a 2-sided waterproof barrier that prevents water from damaging sheetrock, while also reflecting heat back into your home - saving homeowners money on energy costs. This durable barrier will route all wall-water intrusion downward, and into our WaterGuard Collection Tunnels installed at the base of the leaking walls. These are held firmly in place with concrete. These tunnels will catch all intrusive water, and route it down to a SuperSump Pump, for immediate expulsion safely away from the home via an underground discharge line. Our ThermalDry and WaterGuard Systems will remain permanently installed behind sheetrock with inspection ports placed periodically for service purposes, promising that water damage to this basement will be a thing of the past. With their basement now waterproofed, this family can refinish their basement. Leaky basement walls can be very frustrating to homeowners. Leaks into basements can cause damage to stored belongings, as well as deterioration of the walls, therefore threatening the structural integrity of your home. It is imperative to have leaky basement walls waterproofed, to protect the longevity and stability of your home. Our crew of Waterproofing Experts installed system - returning peace of mind to these homeowners! To install a WaterGuard System, our crew first cuts a narrow trench into the concrete basement floor, right up against the bottom of the leaking wall. Inside of the trench, they lay down our WaterGuard Collection Tunnel, to catch all wall-water intrusion. After the Tunnel is installed, our crew pours fresh concrete around it, flush with the original floor to hold it in place, and to provide structural stability. When water enters the Tunnel, it is routed to a TripleSafe Sump Pump, which will pump it immediately away from the home. This Pump system is a 3-pump-in-1 machine, where each pump is activated if the previous one fails, or is overwhelmed by water volume. The TripleSafe Pump even works in the event of a power outage, as the last pump is battery operated. We than install a SaniDry Dehumidifier to address any excess moisture within the basement. The installation of our Waterproofing System protects homes from the devastating affects of water damage, and restores structural soundness and longevity to family homes. 

After dealing with a damp and leaky basement for many years, this family had finally had enough, and reached out to John's for help. We sent a Design Specialist to their home, to perform a thorough basement inspection, and provide effective waterproofing solutions. During his inspection, he found that water was seeping into the basement near the footing and base of the walls, creating a damp environment and threatening the stability of the walls and floor. To mediate this issue, and prevent further water damage to the basement, he suggested installing a WaterGuard System, to collect and expel all water intrusion safely away from the home. Additionally, he recommended installing a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier inside of the basement to control the relative humidity, and prevent mold growth. He explained to the homeowner, that due to the damp conditions of the basement, a dehumidifier was necessary to dry and filter the unhealthy air that was circulating throughout the entire home. The homeowner was pleased with these suggested solutions, and their project was scheduled.

Our crew of waterproofing experts arrived, and got straight to work! To install the WaterGuard System, they began by cutting a narrow trench right up against the bottom of the leaking basement walls. Inside of the trench, they placed our WaterGuard Collection Tunnels. All water will flow into the WaterGuard, and be routed into a SuperSump Pump, which will immediately expel the water safely away from the home via an underground discharge line. After installing the WaterGuard System, our crew poured fresh concrete around the Tunnels and the Pump, flush with the original concrete floor, to create a seamless and structurally intact surface. After installing the WaterGuard System, our crew installed a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier, to ensure a safe air quality throughout the entire home. Our SaniDry XP is an absolute powerhouse! It removes 10 times more moisture from the air, compared to a typical dehumidifier, but uses the same amount of electricity as a lesser machine. It runs fully automatically, saving homeowners time, while offering peace of mind. This powerful machine dries, cleans, filters, and removes allergens from the air - making homes safer and healthier!
