After the heavy rain this week, I checked my crawlspace, and there was standing water in the low spots. I think in the last two days I have pumped 50 to 100 gallons of water out of my crawlspace. We are normally in a drought, so the crawlspace is dry, but this has happened before after heavy rain. I'd like to get a permanent fix if it's not too expensive. At a minimum, I think I'm going to need a new vapor barrier, and a Sump Pump system. I estimate the area to be somewhere around 800 sf.

I pumped most of it out, but it seems to be re-filling from the water table. I'd like to get a ballpark figure for a permanent fix, which might be a new vapor barrier, plus a sump pump system. Normally we are under drought conditions, and it is dry as a bone under there, but a few times after heavy rains, water has collected.

House built in 1954 with a dirt floor crawl space. Perimeter of the crawl space floor is damp and there was some mold that was treated. Lots of floor creaking and a few locations in the house with small drywall cracks.

Old house built in '65 has foundation vents that are 14" x 4 1/2". I want foundation covers for them. But I need to know if it is legal in Concord to permanently cover them since building inspectors will be out in another year or two for a bathroom remodel.
