I have a crawl space which is btw 16" and 30" high. It has no insulation and is just open dirt. The floor is 1.125" ply on 4x6 beams spaced 48" OC. I've been reinforcing the floor with 2x6 joists spaced 24" OC perpendicular to the beams. I was going to insulate it myself, but I'm ready to hand it off to someone who has the proper materials and knowhow.

During winter there is standing water in the crawl space. Currently, it is muddy. There is a sump pump in the back of the house, but not in the front. What I am thinking is a french drain and moisture barrier.
