This crawlspace was letting water vapor and unconditioned air into the home, causing high heating and cooling costs and moisture problems. In addition to encapsulating the space, our team installed SilverGlo and TerraBlock insulations, increasing the energy efficiency of the whole home.  

A homeowner in Trumbull, CT, had a crawl space with water and moisture issues. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems in search of an encapsulation solution. One of our salesmen visited the home to assess the space and propose our CleanSpace encapsulation solution. 

Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Antonio, and his crew to install the proposed work. They installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout the whole space over our drainage matting to ensure water has a place to escape, and the whole area is protected from moisture damage. Our Rimjoist insulation was also sprayed to ensure the space was properly insulated, regulating the temperature. Lastly, our Sedona dehumidifier was put in to eliminate excess moisture and prevent mold growth. 

Now this space is dry and musty-odor-free, leaving the homeowner with nothing but peace of mind. 

In the before picture you can see our Drain matting and SilverGlo rigid insulation already installed. From there we installed our CleanSpace liner, our specially designed Sanidry - CX air purifier dehumidifier, and a SmartSump pump to keep the space clean and dry.

This Shelton home had a tremendous amount of moisture underneath the home. This caused the bottom beams holding up the house to sag. This was very dangerous to the homeowners and the home. When we arrived at this Stratford, CT crawl space, it was a damp, debris-filled space. The old fiberglass insulation was falling from the ceiling because it was too waterlogged and heavy to stay up. We removed all the ineffective fiberglass insulation and replaced it with our SilverGlo insulation. SilverGlo combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. Combined with the TerraBlock floor insulation, we were able to seal the walls from outside moisture and humidity infiltration.
