Groundwater was a problem for this Stratford, CT basement. It was seeping into the crawlspace and causing problems with humidity and mold. The SmartSump system provides excellent protection from groundwater leaks, and has the added benefits of a cast-iron Zoeller sump pump, a reliable liner, a sump alarm, and an optional battery backup sump pump. It's exactly what this crawl space needed to ensure a dry space all the time!

A homeowner located in Oakville, CT had a wet crawlspace that needed encapsulating. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Brian DiRisi, went to the home to assess the crawlspace and propose an encapsulation solution. 

Then it would be time for one of our Foremen, Garfield, and his crew to install the proposed work. They installed our Drainage Matting on top of the ground. Then they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on top of that to eliminate water and moisture and prevent it from damaging the crawlspace. Then they installed our Sedona dehumidifier to eliminate moisture in the air and prevent mold growth by lowering the relative humidity. 

Now this crawlspace is dry, clean, and musty-odor-free, leaving the homeowner with nothing but peace of mind.

Then they installed our SuperSump sump pump to eliminate any water that may enter the space too. Our Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate excess moisture and prevent mold growth as well. RimJoist insulation was installed to keep the temperatures regulated. 

Now, not only is this crawlspace clean and healthy, it is moisture free! The homeowner has great peace of mind knowing this will help overall with the health of the home. 

Water used to seep through the walls and floor of this New Haven, CT crawlspace and cause mold, rot, and other moisture-related problems.
