This homeowner in Hadley, MA reached out to us because she was having issues in her home. She got water in her basement during heavy rains, even though she had a sump pump. When our Basement Systems Specialist came out to the home, he talked to her about her home comfort issues. She mentioned that she had humidity problems, including in her crawl space that was off the basement. She also had mold in her home.

We were able to help this customer! One of the solutions we utilized was our CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation system. We first insulated the walls using our SilverGlo™ foam insulation. For the floor, we added a dimpled drainage mat to create a thermal break. We then installed TerraBlock™ floor insulation on top of that. Then, we installed a CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation liner over that insulation. We fastened it into both the walls and floor to create a permanent solution for this crawl space. We then added two-part expanding spray foam to the rim joist to ensure that the crawl space was covered. Combined with our other solutions, this homeowner will experience less drafts, warmer floors, lower energy bills, and a much more comfortable home! 

This homeowner in Hadley, MA reached out to us stating that she had water in her basement and crawl space. When our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home, he was discussing her general home comfort issues. The homeowner mentioned that her window wells were old and she believed that some of the water was coming in through them. 

We were able to help this customer! We began by removing the old, concrete window wells. We then replaced them with our SunHouse™ window enclosures. They feature a white bottom that reflects natural light into the basement. They also have a clear cover that is both sturdy and fitted. This prevents rain and leaves from getting in to the window wells. Leaves had collected for years in the old wells, so this was a welcome change. Our SunHouse™ window enclosures are a beautiful addition to any home. Now, this homeowner is excited to have brand new window enclosures! 

This homeowner in Chicopee, MA reached out to us looking for help with her sump pump. She said that it was working, however, she did not think it was installed right. It also did not keep up when she had a flood in her basement a few months prior. 

In order to help this customer, we needed to remove her old sump pump. We then installed our TripleSafe™ sump pump in the same spot. This sump pump features three pumps! The first pump is a 1/3 hp, cast iron Zoeller pump that can pump up to 2200 gallons per hour, 8 feet high. Should the first pump fail or not be able to keep up with the temporary heavy flow of water, a 1/2 hp AC back-up pump on a separate discharge line can pump 3900 gallons of water per hour. If the power fails, then a third, battery operated "UltraSump" pump automatically pumps up to 12,000 gallons of water out of the basement. Now, the homeowner will have peace of mind, knowing that she has three pumps keeping her basement dry! 

This homeowner in Enfield, CT reached out to us looking for help with his sump pump. He wanted a new one with a lid and a backup battery. He was not having active water issues, he just wanted to make sure that his basement was protected before the spring rains hit.

We had the perfect solution for this customer. We installed a SuperSump® sump pump system into the basement. It features a sturdy liner, airtight lid, 1/3 hp cast iron pump which can discharge up to 2200 gallons per hour, 8 feet high, and a stand to keep the pump out of silt and sediment. A WaterWatch® Alarm System alerts the homeowner to pump failure before the basement floor gets wet. We also installed a perimeter drainage system that connects to the pump. The homeowner is very excited to have a new sump pump for his home! 

This homeowner in Springfield, MA reached out to us about her basement. She wanted her basement windows replaced - they were original to the home, and so they were over 75 years old. She wanted them replaced, as they were unattractive and not energy efficient.

We were able to help this customer! We utilized our vinyl window inserts. They have 2 panes of "Low E" glass, a high performance glass that lets visible light through while blowing most of the heat flow. They are made with a vinyl frame that will not rust, rot, or need any paint. The homeowner's basement will now look much better with more beautiful windows!
