The crawl space was damp due to open vents and a dirt floor. Open vents allowed outside air, which often carries moisture, to enter the crawl space. Additionally, the dirt floor contributed to the dampness by allowing moisture from the ground to evaporate and rise into the crawl space, creating a humid environment conducive to mold growth and other moisture-related issues. Our solution was to completely seal the open vents and install our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System with a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier works in tandem with the CleanSpace vapor barrier system to effectively control crawl space moisture and humidity. The CleanSpace vapor barrier acts as a protective layer, preventing moisture from the ground from entering the crawl space. This barrier is installed across the floor and up the walls of the crawl space, creating a sealed environment. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier then removes excess moisture from the air within this sealed space, maintaining optimal humidity levels and preventing mold growth, wood rot, and other moisture-related issues. Together, these systems ensure a dry and healthy crawl space environment.
We replaced this customers existing vapor barrier line due to multiple puddles of standing water that was causing musty odors throughout the home. Our 20-mil thick CleanSpace Liner was permanently fastened to the floor and walls in the crawl space to prevent moisture from seeping through.
Our team transformed a customer's dark and damp crawl space by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier system. This involved thoroughly cleaning and preparing the area, followed by laying down the durable, moisture-proof barrier. The system effectively seals off the crawl space from ground moisture, preventing mold growth and enhancing overall air quality in the home.
This beautiful waterfront home in Ponte Vedra Beach had an existing crawl space drainage system installed over 30 years ago. While it held up over time, the homeowners were still experiencing occasional water intrusion during periods of heavy rain, especially being so close to the waterway.
Our team assessed the aging system and provided critical updates including a reinforced vapor barrier, sump pump evaluation, and plans for potential French drain installation to better handle future storms. With an upgraded encapsulation and proactive drainage strategy, this crawl space is now better equipped to protect the home from the unique challenges of coastal moisture.
