To prevent this homeowners basement from flooding again and to ensure it always remains dry, our basement waterproofing crew installed 193ft of WaterGuard along the interior perimeter of the basement floor and 153ft of CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the basement walls. Any water that seeps through the foundation wall will run down the back side of the vapor barrier and into the WaterGuard Drainage System. From there, the water will be directed to the sump pump to be safely removed from the home. 

Mold began to grow in this crawl space due to high humidity. By soda blasting, we eliminated the mold.  To prevent further mold growth, we installed a dehumidifier to control humidity levels. We also sealed off the crawl space to prevent moisture from entering. 

In addition to encapsulating the crawl space and installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, we also installed an Aspen air purifier upstairs to ensure the highest degree of air quality. 

This homeowner reached out to us because their basement had started flooding in the last couple of months. Worried about it causing more damage to their home, they wanted to get it fixed quickly and permanently. One of our System Design Specialists, Foster, explained the issues that were present and how we could provide a solution. For this home, we installed the WaterGuard drainage system, along with IceGuard to prevent clogs, and a LawnScape Outlet at the end of the discharge line. We also installed the CleanSpace Wall System to work with the rest of the system. It creates an air and moisture barrier to keep the basement clean and dry. All together these components create a permanent basement waterproofing solution.
