 This project was completed prior to selling a home. Here at Atlanta Basement Systems, we have a Real Estate Response Team, and they assist realtors and homeowners prepare the homes to be placed on the market. This home was dealing with the issue of a wet basement, and they needed this remediated before the home could sell. To fix this issue, Josh and his crew installed CleanSpace, WaterGuard and the SuperSump sump pump. With the combination of all of these, this basement is going to stay dry, and provide the new homeowner with peace of mind in buying this home.

In the before photo you can see the stains where water had been entering the basement through the walls. The leaks and dampness that was being caused turned this basement into a space of worry for the homeowners. To restore the basement, and get it back to a space the homeowners do not have to worry about, Ken and his crew installed a set of waterproofing products. In the after photo, you can see they installed CleanSpace, WaterGuard and the TripleSafe sump pump, to ensure that water will never cause damage to this home again, and restore the basement to dry, usable space.

To prevent this homeowners basement from flooding again and to ensure it always remains dry, our basement waterproofing crew installed 193ft of WaterGuard along the interior perimeter of the basement floor and 153ft of CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the basement walls. Any water that seeps through the foundation wall will run down the back side of the vapor barrier and into the WaterGuard Drainage System. From there, the water will be directed to the sump pump to be safely removed from the home. 

Mold began to grow in this crawl space due to high humidity. By soda blasting, we eliminated the mold.  To prevent further mold growth, we installed a dehumidifier to control humidity levels. We also sealed off the crawl space to prevent moisture from entering.
