Water was seeping through the walls of a basement in Overland, MO, causing damage to it and pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was first installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and drain any leaks to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, draining water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharging it from the house. Thanks to these systems, this basement will stay dry all the time!

Sump pump failure can occur for several reasons.  Two common reasons cited for sump pump failure are mechanical failure and power outages.  A single pump system is only as good as the pump itself.  In this case, a single sump pump system just wasn't enough to keep this St. Louis basement dry.

Woods Basement Systems installed a dual pump system, so at least one pump is always ready to handle groundwater leaks.  An optional and critical enhancement to this system is the UltraSump battery backup pump.  If a breaker is tripped or severe weather knocks out power, the UltraSump will continue to pump in spite of the storm.

As part of the solution designed by system design specialist Brenton K., foreman Melvin F. installed TripleSafe. TripleSafe receives water guided to it by the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. TripleSafe includes three pumps to ensure the basement stays dry.

Woods installed BrightWall panels as part of the waterproofing system. BrightWall panels are made of rigid white plastic that is resistant to mold and waterproof. They form a moisture barrier over the foundation walls, directing water down to the perimeter drainage system for removal. As seen in the pictures, they also give the basement a much cleaner and brighter appearance.

WaterGuard was installed as part of the waterproofing system. As shown in the pictures, it’s installed under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement. It’s situated out of the way of any mud that may clog it as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors of the basement and drains it to the sump pump for removal.
