After years of living with a flooding basement this homeowner in Hampden, ME contacted us at TC Hafford Basement Systems in order to solve their problem. When our crew arrived, they were able to get started on the damp concrete floor by installing a WaterGuard piping system around the perimeter. This system feeds directly into the TripleSafe sump pump also installed within the floor. Now when any water leaks in towards this basement interior, the WaterGuard system will capture it and force it out of the home through the TripleSafe pump. Finally, an IceGuard pipe segment and LawnScape discharge port were attached to the PVC discharge line used to carry the water from the home.

Now this homeowner can utilize their basement without needing to worry about the constant flooding that they are used to.

Hampden, Maine homeowners had a cracked and sunken garage floor that was causing concern. Water intrusion had compromised the concrete slab over the years, and the owners wanted the floor level again. We poured a brand new slab floor in their garage, smoothing and leveling the space. We also installed a SmartSump pump to remove any incoming water away from the garage. TrenchDrain grate was installed along the doorways and high traffic areas to capture incoming water and channel it directly to the SmartSump.

In Hampden, ME, this homeowner had a problem with their basement. Anytime the snow melted or heavy rain came down, their basement would get wet. The homeowner wanted to use their basement year-round for storage, so keeping the whole basement dry was important to them. WaterGuard was laid around the perimeter of the basement, with TrenchDrain in high-traffic areas. WaterGuard collects and channels the water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump, and TrenchDrain ensures all water is collected at the entryways. The TripleSafe Sump Pump is capable of pushing all the water from the WaterGuard out of the basement and through the new Buried Discharge Line. To make sure the system works during the freezing winter months, IceGuard was attached to the Buried Discharge Line to prevent ice buildup. Now the homeowner can use their basement as they please since their basement is fully waterproof and will stay dry all the time.

This Newburgh, Maine basement was often wet, causing stress for the homeowners. We completed a full basement waterproofing update to keep their space dry and protected. First we poured a new concrete floor with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. A TripleSafe sump pump was added, connecting to the WaterGuard, to collect moisture and pump it away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller pumps to handle high capacity events, as well as a third battery back up pump to keep the system operating even if the property loses power. Moisture had caused their wooden beams to weaken, so we added SmartJacks steel posts to keep the home stablized. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona controls the humidity to a healthy level, keeping the air free of added moisture.
