The drainage system sits on top of the footing in the basement so no mud gets in and clogs the system. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. The drainage system traps the water and sends it to the sump pump. The sump pump then effectively removes the water from your basement.
