Unstable Foundation Repaired in Hazen, ND

A homeowner in Hazen, ND, grew concerned after discovering their foundation was unstable and falling apart. Worried about the long-term effects, the homeowner knew they needed professional help and fast. After looking into "foundation repair in North Dakota", their eye was caught by our website. After taking a closer look, the homeowner knew we were the best company for them. Since they were already on the website, they signed up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Kole, to the home to take a closer look at the struggling walls. After his inspection, Kole determined the foundation walls were showing signs of wall failure and needed to be repaired. Additionally, he recommended installing several waterproofing products in the home. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go ahead and begin the installation. Kole sent the plans to our office to be approved, then they were sent to our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew. After they received the plans, Aaron and his crew traveled to the home and started by installing PowerBraces on the walls. Once the PowerBraces were secured, the crew secured the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe. The crew wrapped up the project by installing CleanSpace on the basement walls. Once everything was installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to install the best waterproofing and foundation products in their customers' homes.

Addressing Wet Basement Issues In Stanton, ND

Alisha, a homeowner in Stanton, ND, was searching for assistance with her basement issues. Groundwater was leaking through the cement floors and cinder block walls; the water stayed close to the foundation and saturated the area. She thought that our team could help with possible solutions, from sump pumps to sealing the block, so she called for FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Richie, traveled to his home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to recommend a plan to transform the basement into a healthy, clean space.

Dylan, our Foreman, headed out to the house with his crew and got to work. First, they created a full-perimeter WaterGuard System with a lateral feed line where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The crew then added a half-wall of our CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. Then, our crew inserted our SuperSump® Premier Pump System. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods, even during heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® â…“ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. To direct water away from the home's foundation so that it would not leak back into the basement, the team added a 30-foot discharge line from the West end of the basement. Furthermore, American Waterworks can help prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. We installed the patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation if the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that her basement had been transformed, and she no longer had to worry about water intrusion

Radon Risk Lowered in Bismarck, ND

A homeowner in Bismarck, ND, recently read an article about the dangers of radon, an invisible, odorless gas. Worried about their home's radon levels, the homeowner began looking into "radon testing and abatement near Bismarck, ND". The homeowner sifted through several companies, but only one company stood above the rest, American Waterworks. Impressed with our Radon Mitigation Systems, the homeowner knew we were the best option for their home. Next, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent James, one of our Design Specialists, to the home to take a closer look. James traveled to Bismarck and began the radon test. While the test was going on, James was able to find the best radon extraction points in the home. After the test was completed, it showed that the radon levels were alarmingly high. James recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System in the home and the homeowner agreed with his suggestions. Once approved by the homeowner, the plans were passed along to our office to give the final stamp of approval. Once our Logistics team built and scheduled the project, the plans were sent to Jackson, our Radon Sales & Service Technician, to begin. Jackson arrived at the home and began the installation. Jackson installed the Radon Mitigation System on the north side of the home near the front door. Once the Radon Mitigation System was secured, Jackson cleaned up his materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted to know their radon risk had been lowered. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowner's peace of mind.
