Nick and Carissa S. of Kandiyohi, MN had water leaking into their basement, causing them to worry about damage to property. They got in contact with American Waterworks and got a FREE estimate scheduled with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to Nick and Carissa's house, carefully inspected their basement, and determined a solution that would work for them, their needs, and their budget. Nick and Carissa were confident in Chad's plan, so they signed his contract and got a date scheduled for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls, prevent water and mud clogs, and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which prevents mold and humidity, gives the basement a neat, clean appearance, and it covers any big holes or divots in the walls. To complete the installation, our crew filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the basement was neater and cleaner than when they found it. Nick and Carissa could not believe the beautiful transformation!

Our Foreman and his production team installed seven of our SmartJacks, which are made to stabilize and straighten sloping or springy floors. They can support loads of more than 60,000 pounds and they are galvanized (resistance to corrosion). A customer from Garfield, MN, got in contact with us because she found water pooling in a corner of her basement. She had plans to renovate the space into a living space and wanted to know her options moving forward. Our Design Specialist made a few suggestions. First, he stated the property needed a Sump Pump to adequately drain water our CleanSpace and WaterGuard systems are able to catch. All of our sump systems have several beneficial features for the customer, beginning with a WaterWatch alarm that notifies the homeowners of the overflowing of the sump basket and airtight sump lids that keep odor and humidity out while simultaneously protecting the interior of the pump. A homeowner in Battle Lake, MN had water leaking from their walls, causing them to worry about water damage and flooding hazards. When it comes to block foundation walls, the open spaces in each block may fill with water, which then leaks through the walls. By eliminating that, our crew broke out the bottom of the wall perimeter by a few inches, then drilled a weep hole into each block. Next, our team installed our DryTrak Drain Pipe System, which our crew did not have to use a jackhammer for. In this case, our team just applied it over the floor perimeter., which prevented extra labor and exposure to dust. The water then was able to pour through the holes and directly into the drain pipe.

A homeowner in Britt, IA, was inspecting their basement following a heavy rainstorm. To their surprise, the homeowner discovered several wet spots throughout their basement. The homeowner was connected to our Service Department, and then they sent one of our Service Technicians, Darin, to the home to take a closer look. Next, Darin passed the plans along to our Logistics team to be approved. Once the plans were approved, the proposal was sent to our Formean, Kevin, and his crew. Kevin and his team traveled to the home and began the waterproofing installation. First, Kevin and his crew began by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump. Then, the crew installed a feedline to connect the WaterGuard to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.
