Encapsulating a Crawlspace in Polk City, IA

Dave noticed he had water in his crawl space and wanted to have his crawl space become a storage space for his wife to use. He didn't know who to call but then saw a commercial on the television showing him what we can do. He called and had one of our System Designers come out to his house to give him a free quote. The System Designer told Dave that we would have to encapsulate his crawl space which means we would put vent covers which would stop the cold from coming in. Second we would remove all the standing water that would be left in the crawl space. Then, we would repair the structure and finally encapsulate the crawl space. Dave was very happy with the work that was done and his wife was happy that she got to put her things in the area.

Basement in Marshalltown, IA Saved with CleanSpace, WaterGuard and TripleSafe Pump System

James and Lynnece M. wanted to use their basement during the summer months but noticed a damp smell and water staining the walls.

As returning customers, they were excited to have us come back to their home. System Design Specialist, Calogeno Principato was able to identify multiple spots along the floors and walls where water was entering.

We directed the water down the walls behind our CleanSpace to our WaterGuard around the perimeter of their basement eventually dumping into our TripleSafe Pump System. Then we completely encapsulated the walls eliminating water vapor from evaporating into the air. This project used full height CleanSpace which added a lot of light reflecting surfaces which really brightened up the entire room!

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Brady, NE

These homeowner were struggling with a bad smell that had somehow seeped into their home. They knew from a previous home's problem that the crawl space would be a potential cause of this, and in their old home, they used our services, so they gave us a call again to check out their new crawl space.

We sent Service Technician Matt Stice to inspect the crawl space and determine what happened to cause this smell. Matt found that the crawl space was quite dirty, musty, and that the rim joists were not properly insulated. After discussing options with the homeowners, they decided to choose Thrasher to complete their project. Matt and his team encapsulated the crawl space CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier and they utilized a TripleSafe Sump Pump to keep the crawlspace free of water. They also insulated the rim joists with SilverGlo and added a Sedona Dehumidifier to improve the air quality and decrease the humidity of the crawl space.

The homeowners were shocked at the transformation that happened in their home. They were more comfortable in their home because there is no longer a smell. Check out their crawl space transformation!

Strong Storm Tests a Sump Pump in Paradise, KS

This homeowner wanted to ensure that his crawlspace continues to stay dry even after the strong storms that had been happening. He started using a different company to help his crawlspace, however when they were no longer servicing him, he gave us a call.

We sent Service Technician Brad Metzger to inspect the crawlspace to see if anything would prevent it from staying dry. Brad found that due to the big storms, 2 of the homeowner's 4 sump pumps were no longer functioning and that the power in the crawlspace no longer worked. The battery backup power on the homeowner's sump pumps was also out of function. Brad knew that due to the size of the crawlspace, the homeowner needed at least 4 sump pumps to ensure that the crawlspace stays dry even during large storms, so he replaced the 2 broken sump pumps with new ones. After that, Brad ran an extension cord from the power in the house to the pump that cycled the most water to help maintain the dry crawlspace until the crawl space power is functioning. The homeowner is considering a new battery backup system, however they have not decided on that yet.

The homeowner was very happy that we were able to diagnose the problem even though there was no power to see the sump pump system in the dark crawl space. Check out the new sump pumps that replaced the older sump pumps!
