A homeowner was experiencing a cold and damp crawl space in their Hoboken, NJ home and contacted Quality 1st Basements for a solution. Our System Design Specialist, did a full inspection and noticed a small water leak that caused the space to become cold and damp. He recommended encapsulating the crawl space to prevent future water leaks and overall creates a cleaner and healthy space. Our crew installed a SmartSump pump and a Sedona Dehumidifier to not only keep the crawl space dry but to prevent musty odors and moisture from forming. TerraBlock was installed on the floor as extra insulation to prevent cold floors on the first level of the home. Lastly, a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed to seal the area for a cleaner space. 

A resident in Hoboken, New Jersey noticed their floors were sagging. Over time, this area had high moisture and humidity that effected the wooden beams inside the crawlspace. The floor joist began to sag causing the first floor to become uneven. 

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey, helped them find a solution to this issue. He suggested they use steel support systems to stabilize and level the home. Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the SmartJack Steel Support System in the crawl space. SmartJacks do not replace the current columns, but they offer additional support to the entire crawl space beam and floor joist. 

Recently in Hoboken, NJ, a homeowner began noticing increasingly damp conditions around their crawl space, resulting in ongoing concerns about potential rot and mold-growth. We also installed our mold-resistant CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, its durable, waterproof design creates an airtight seal that keeps moisture out, preventing wood rot and reducing the risk of further structural decay. 

From now on this crawl space will remain dry and healthy, allowing this homeowner to enjoy some much needed peace of mind!

Homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to provide a solution for preventing water and mositure from getting inside the crawl space. The Q1 team  sealed off the crawl space by encapsualting it with a durable, liner referred to as CleanSpace which provides a vapor barrier. SilverGlo was installed to the floors and walls of the crawl space as a heat barrier to keep it dry during the cold months. The homeowner was very pleased with the job done and hasn't gotten water since.  

Using both our PowerBraces and SmartJackXP, our team was able to stabilize the failing floor joist in this home in Ridgefield Park, NJ. First the PowerBrace is installed to the floor joist. For additional support, we install the SmartJackXPs to the brace to bring the floor joist back towards its original position.
