A local motel was experiencing continuous water seepage in their basement – a problem that persisted daily, rain or shine. Understandably, this caused major concern for the owners who wanted to ensure their property remained a welcoming and safe place for their guests. The basement needed not just a patch-up job but a comprehensive waterproofing solution to tackle the root of the issue. To achieve a dry and secure basement, we recommended the installation of our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Here’s how it broke down: the WaterGuard system was installed around the edges of the basement to effectively capture wall and floor seepage, directing it to our TripleSafe Sump Pump. 

At Quality 1st, we had the pleasure of helping a homeowner in Penns Grove, NJ, solve a rather wet and potentially moldy problem. Their home, sporting an unfinished basement, was taking in water, sparking worries about mold and the structural integrity of the house. After careful consideration, we presented a tailored solution that included installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump, SuperSump, SaniDry Sedona, and CleanSpace. Each of these products plays a vital role in ensuring a dry, clean, and healthy basement environment. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump system set out to offer triple the protection, especially during heavy rains or power outages. Coupled with the SuperSump, we provided an effective first line of defense against water. The SaniDry Sedona then addresses any humidity to halt mold growth in its tracks, and CleanSpace liner was the cherry on top, keeping the area vapor-free and clean. 

Quality 1st's recommended annual service on pumps include a complete disassembly and cleaning in order to keep the system operating at its best as a reliable wet basement solution. The airtight lid is removed to access the cast iron 1/3 hp Zoeller for cleaning and changing check valves as well as checking the float switch. Batteries are replaced on the WaterWatch alarm and the sump pump liner is sanitized before the pump is reassembled.  Through annual maintenance, Service Technician John helped the homeowners in Penns Grove enhance the operation and life of their SuperSump . 

At this property, water was entering the home during heavy rain through the outside sliding glass door. The team assessed and dug out the foundation of the entrance to install our TrenchDrain surface drain. This drain system will capture the water effectively along the door and flow the water down to the underground channel that leads the water away from the home, making the basement entry free from water.

At this townhome, water was coming from inside the wall between the houses and we found that the grading is higher than the siding, which somehow made the water run on top of the foundation wall. The owner's sump pump system was no longer pumping out the amount of water it was taking in, so we removed the old pump to install our SuperSump pump system with a Zoeller M63 cast iron pump. We also placed alongside of the pump our UltraSump battery back-up system with an alarm that will let the homeowner know if there was a power outage or system failure, keeping your basement safe from water damage.
