Liz's crawl space in West Falls, NY, was damaged after the washer above overflowed, leaving the wood and insulation full of excess moisture. Liz knew the Team at Frank's Basement Systems would be the perfect fit to help transform her crawl space since we specialize in crawl space problems of all types! Her crawl space encapsulation began with the installation of a CleanSpace® Drainage Mat, which is designed to prevent water buildup underneath the CleanSpace once it is installed and its channels direct any collected water to the perimeter drain system. Above this mat, the Team installed TerraBlock™ floor insulation, which is puncture-resistant, waterproof, and also resistant to mold growth, so it won't rot if any water enters the crawl space beyond the vapor barrier. After, the whole crawlspace was encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier. This barrier is made of a thick, almost pool-like material, a bright white liner, and covers the whole space, keeping moisture out.  But the key to keeping Liz's crawl space dry was to have our Team install a SaniDry Sedona. This dehumidifier works together with the CleanSpace System that has been installed. The CleanSpace helps to isolate the crawl space and keep moisture out, while the SaniDry Sedona works to maintain the humidity level within. What was once a wet and damaged space under her house, Liz now has a dry space that she can easily maintain over time!

This 1857 home had a musty crawl space that needed to be encapsulated and kept dry. A one day installation of a CleanSpace encapsulation system will keep this Lockport crawl space clean and dry for years to come!
