This Hancock, NY home had an improper vapor barrier on the floor of the dirt crawl space. This was causing a lot of issues for the homeowners. We proposed to spray foam the rim joists to stop unwanted air from entering and escaping and then we encapsulated the crawl space with our 6 mil poly before spraying the exterior walls with 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to ensure that the poly is attached firmly to the wall and won't slip down to disrupt the job of the poly as well as provide another layer of insulation to the foundation.

For this job, we also installed a dehumidifier in the crawl space to help alleviate the excess moisture.

This newly constructed home in Hancock, NY was ready to insulate.

The walls here were sprayed with 2 inches of closed cell foam which will make the home more comfortable and energy efficient when it is finished.

This home in Hancock, NY had about 6 inches of cellulose insulation already in place.

To fully insulate, we added another 10 inches of cellulose to what was already there.  The attic is now fully insulated and the rooms below will be more comfortable as a result.
