A homeowner in Ocean Isle Beach, NC, reached out to our office for help with sagging floors in various areas of their home. After inspecting the crawl space, we identified the issue and recommended installing our SmartJack System.

The SmartJack System is a steel support system designed to stabilize and lift sagging floors by addressing weak or shifting crawl space supports. Once installed, the system provided the necessary support to restore the home’s floors to their proper level. The homeowner was thrilled with the results, as their floors were no longer uneven, and the structural integrity of their home was significantly improved.

Using SmartJack stabilizing posts, we corrected the sagging and sloping floors above the crawl space. The areas that needed additional support were reinforced with steel supplemental beams. This allowed us to level the floors and distribute the load evenly, ensuring the stability and longevity of the structure.

Whenever there's moisture in the air, wooden beams and joists can warp, swell, or rot. As these structural elements weaken, the floors sag or flex. This homeowner was experiencing sagging floors above their crawl space for high moisture levels in the crawl space. The wooden beams and joists were rotting. This caused the floor to sag by not having adequate support. We installed our SmartJack Support Posts to lift, level, and stabilize the floors. We also recommended that the homeowner encapsulate their crawl space to prevent moisture from intruding and causing a much bigger issue!
