This homeowner called us because the last contractor they hired did not do a good enough job to properly protect their basement from water. They claimed, "There is only one small sump pump and they should have put a larger one in or at least another one." They called us this time because they knew we would do it right because they heard about us from a friend. We added our WaterGuard drains under the floor of the basement, all around the perimeter. We then hooked them up to our TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is strong enough to handle extreme amounts of water because it has a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery backed up sump. Safe to say these homeowners are done looking for a waterproofing contractor to get it right.
This home in Union, KY, was showing clear signs of foundation settlement, including a widening gap between the brick and vinyl siding and a stair-step crack in the brick near the vent. To stabilize the structure and prevent further sinking, we installed a series of foundation piers. Our helical pier system not only stopped the settlement but also allowed us to lift the home back toward its original position. In the before photo, you can see the separation above the vent growing deeper toward the left, along with cracking in the brickwork. In the after photo, both the gap and the crack have been closed, showing how effective our foundation pier installation was in restoring stability to this Union, KY home.
This chimney was starting to tilt away from the home, leaving the sealant between the chimney and the home compromised. If left unattended, the chimney could become damaged beyond repair. Luckily, the homeowner gave us a call so we could fix it with our peer underpinning system right away. Now, the chimney is stabilized and lifted back to where it was originally built. The homeowner can now seal the chimney for good.
This home in Cincinnati, OH, had a settling foundation that was resulting in cracks. The before picture shows our piers attached underneath the footing of the foundation, but not yet lifted. The after shows the closed gap after we lifted the footers with our hydraulic device. If you look really closely, you can even notice the change in the angle of the structure. Gone be sticky windows and doors!
External forces like hydrostatic pressure can cause your foundation walls to cave in. No worries though, we have the solution. Our steel I-beams called PowerBraces are not your ordinary I-beams. They are coated in zinc to prevent rusting, and they can handle very strong loads. Also, they were designed to prevent damage to your floor joists, as their special brackets can be tightened to straighten the wall back out.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
