One of our inspectors went out to inspect the area and provided an estimate for SmartJacks to lift the floor. SmartJacks are jacks that are made of galvanized steel and can hold loads of more than 60,000 pounds. They can be adjusted to lift the floor back into its original position. Our certified inspector, Jiovanni Valentino, visited the home to do a thorough inspection and provide a free quote for a permanent repair. Jiovanni recommended using PowerBrace i-beams and carbon fiber straps to prevent further inward movement of the walls. He also found that the basement also had mold and signs of previous flooding, so he recommended waterproofing it as well. To top it off, he discussed using BrightWall to cover up the unsightly walls and make the basement look fresh and clean.
