Advanced Basement Systems was called to complete a full inspection and design a proper mitigation system to reduce the levels in the home.

It is important to have a properly sealed sump pump pit to help prevent Radon Gas from entering the home. Advanced Basement Systems installed a custom lid to seal the pit and a Radon Gas mitigation system custom designed to reduce the high levels in the home.

Problem:  Unlevel concrete poses several problems for homeowners:

We removed all the old fiberglass insulation. Why? It's not the correct insulation type, for a variety of reasons. Blown-in cellulose is the appropriate application. Along with that, the pipe and wire penetrations that come into the attic are not air-tight. We need to access all of these point to ensure heat loss is at a minimum! This insulation is also full of mouse droppings (mice love pink fiberglass).
Once the removal, air sealing and new baffles are completed, the new blown-in cellulose can be installed.
