Before the work, the homeowner’s crawl space was damp and poorly insulated, with visible foundation cracks that allowed cold air and moisture to enter. Water had no reliable path to drain, resulting in high humidity levels, musty odors, and the risk of mold growth. The space offered little protection against seasonal temperature changes, making the home harder to keep warm in the winter.
After the installation of CleanSpace® Drainage Matting, CleanSpace® vapor barrier, SmartDrain™, SaniDry™ Sedona, and SilverGlo™ insulation, the crawl space became clean, dry, and energy efficient. Water is now directed and managed properly, humidity is controlled, and the entire area is sealed against moisture and outside air. The homeowner now benefits from improved air quality, greater comfort, and long-term protection for their home.
Before, this homeowner in Pefferlaw, ON, faced a daunting challenge: their basement walls were bowing inward, marked by concerning cracks, and at risk of water intrusion. Aware of the urgency, we stepped in with a tailored solution that reflects our dedication to excellent customer service and lasting results.
To reinforce the structure, we installed eight PowerBraces, providing crucial support to stabilize and gradually straighten the walls. To keep the basement dry, we implemented our TripleSafe Sump Pump, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and IceGuard system, ensuring reliable drainage and moisture control.
As shown in the after photo, the transformation is clear—the basement now stands secure, dry, and structurally sound, a true fortress against future water and foundation woes.
To properly waterproof a damp basement in Pickering, Ontario, we installed our patented WaterGuard internal drainage system along the perimeter of the floor. This solution effectively captures water infiltrating in and redirects it to a sump pump system or the discharge lines, keeping the area dry. To complete the job, we added the CleanSpace wall system, a durable vapor barrier that helps block moisture and gives the basement a clean, bright look. The installation went smoothly and with minimal disruption. The result? A dry, healthier basement, ready to be finished.
Mr. Falcao, residing in Pickering, Ontario, noticed that the basement in his triplex was very humid. He had installed a French drain and a sump pump, but his problem persisted. He decided to look online for a solution when he came across our website. After looking through and seeing our various options to help get rid of humidity, he decided to fill out our contact form. Upon receiving his request, we promptly got in touch with Mr. Falcao and scheduled a free quote & inspection. Specialized Jason met Mr. Falcao at his Pickering home and thoroughly inspected his basement. He decided the best plan would be for us to install 8 SmartJack systems to reinforce the floor above the basement, as well as SilverGlo insulation on the basement walls, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. These products work together to insulate the basement, as well as make sure it’s not humid and the floor above is stable. Mr.Falcao accepted our proposal and we scheduled a date to perform the work. Our experienced foreman Colin and his team headed over on the scheduled date. They first carefully installed the SmartJacks, then installed the SaniDry Sedona and connected it to the existing drainage system. Our client now no longer has to worry about humidity in his basement or his floor crumbling under him. Thanks to the whole team at Basement Systems Toronto!
Before, this Pickering home's crawl space was a source of unpleasant smells and suffered from broken ductwork, causing discomfort throughout the home. Notice in the 'before' photo the signs of neglect and damage. Our Basement Systems Toronto team sprang into action, installing our CleanSpace technology to seal and protect the space, along with an EverLast™ door to provide a durable, airtight seal. The EverLast™ door, made from ½-in.-thick PVC plastic, ensures long-lasting protection without the worry of warping, cracking, or shrinking, unlike traditional wood doors. As seen in the 'after' photo, we transformed the area into a clean, smell-free, and efficiently running environment, aligning with our mission to deliver a remarkable customer experience and lasting solutions. With the CleanSpace system and EverLast™ door in place, the crawl space is now fully protected from external moisture, air, and pests.
