A vented crawl space does more harm than good when the air outside is humid, damp or freezing cold. The open vent allows that air to enter the crawl space causing moisture, structural, and pest problems! This home has a stunning before and after look. 

In the crawlspace, the foundation walls were surrounded by bare soil, lacking vital support. This unchecked soil carried the weight of the home, resulting in serious repercussions. The lateral pressure from the soil, along with water seepage, caused the exposed earth to collapse, posing a threat to the foundation's integrity. To address this, EverBrace was skillfully used to contain and stabilize the soil. Notably, this intervention not only resolved immediate issues but also came with a warranty to prevent future movement, mitigating potential problems. Additionally, the clay soil prevalent in the area worsened the situation, as its susceptibility to moisture-induced weakening compromised its ability to bear the weight of the structure above.

The home had a damp and moldy crawlspace that was repaired. Tons of wood rot was replaced and, most importantly, the new area is conditioned so that this problem won’t happen again.
