PROBLEM

The owner of this property was renovating his basement when he noticed, while trying to replace the drywall, that the concrete wall of the foundation was covered with mold. He really panicked, wondering for how long the air in his house was contaminated. He didn't want to wait any longer, knowing that his family's health had likely been affected by the air quality. SOLUTION

The problem

Mr. Turcotte had a wet crawl space that was poorly insulated and some of the wooden beams were starting to rot.

The solution

Insulate the crawl space walls with our SilverGlo panels.

The earthen floor was insulated with our drainage membrane and then our CleanSpace coating. Next, to reduce humidity, we installed a SuperSump sump pump system. It contains a 1 / 3HP cast iron Zoeller pump and we have added a battery pump that works in the event of a power failure and that keeps the sump running. Finally, our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control the humidity level and filter the air.

So we started by installing the WaterGuard Interior Drain ‘This channel collects water from the wall floor joint and directs it to the sump chamber’, and then we have connected it to our company’s SuperSump pump that will evacuate water.
