WaterGuard added in Honea Path, SC Basement

In this basement we placed WaterGuard, a SuperSump, an UltraSump, and Bright Wall. These products work together to capture the water as it comes down the wall and flush it from the basement. Bright Wall was tacked to the wall, so the water that flows down it would be guided straight to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard was added to the side of the basement where the water was coming in. This WaterGuard is a drainage system that is placed in the floor and angled so that any water it collects will be guided to the SuperSump Pump. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible! The WaterGuard directs the water to the SuperSump Pump where it is then flushed from the basement outside to the LawnScape outlet.

In the “before” picture you can see water damage around the perimeter of the basement. In the “after” picture you can see where WaterGuard and Bright Wall have been installed to waterproof the area.

Water Coming Into Tryon, NC Basement Has WaterGuard Drain Installed

Water intrusion in basements and crawlspaces is an extremely common problem, which is an unfortunate truth for homeowners almost everywhere. Even a small amount of water intrusion can cause some pretty serious issues, so even small leaks should be looked at seriously. This happened to be the case for this homeowner in Tryon, NC. There were only a few places where the water was coming through, but where it was coming through, it was a lot.

The "before" photo shows one of the main areas that the water was coming into the basement by. As you can see, the area that the water is coming from is not very big, but the amount of water that has come into the basement is pretty significant. This would happen to the homeowner quite often, and they knew it was something that needed to be taken care of as soon as they could.

The "after" picture provides a much different look at the basement, it almost looks like a new area! The main product that was installed was the WaterGuard drain, which is installed around the perimeter of the basement to catch any and all water that may come through the basement walls. After the water is caught by the WaterGuard, it is drained down to the SuperSump where it gets pumped out and away from the home.

Everlast Door Outlasts All Competitors in Simpsonville, SC

Even if you get your crawlspace sealed from top to bottom with every bell and whistle imaginable, there’s still a chance you’ll have moisture issues if you do not properly seal the crawlspace entrance. This Simpsonville, SC homeowner discovered this fact very soon. Simply having a door doesn’t mean the space is secure. The equivalent of having a wooden door on a crawlspace is very much like installing a front door without a lock in the waterproofing world. Wooden doors, especially since they’re so low to the ground, will rot and warp. And once it has starting doing all of that, it won’t even seal properly. Now all that trouble you went to seal the space was all for nothing.

Take a look at the “Before” photo. The door is quite obviously wood. We know that. But around the door there are these skinny spaces. Normally, we wouldn’t bat an eye at something like that. However, since it’s a crawlspace, this is enough of an opening to cause an issue.

Now if we take a look at the “After” photo, we can see the major difference. This one completely seals the space from incoming air. Not only that, but, because it’s plastic, it won’t rot or wear. It doesn’t need paint and bugs won’t have a taste for it. The difference is as clear as night and day. Our Everlast Door is the way to go.

Garage/Basement Waterproofing in Simpsonville, SC

This customer had some issues with their garage/storage space. Upon the initial inspection of the job, our Service Design Specialist saw several areas of standing water, as well as damp concrete around the perimeter of the space. This can be very detrimental, and cause problems like; mold, increased heating and cooling bills, and other damage to windows and floors. However, this homeowner called us before any serious or permanent damage was done.

The "before" photo shows an area close to the garage door, a great place for water to get it. You can see a small pool of water, as well as damp/wet concrete that goes all the way off screen. While the garage door does have somewhat of a seal, not enough to keep water out, especially during a heavy rain.

The "after" photo shows the same area as before, but with the installed Waterguard and TripleSafe sump pump. The Waterguard is installed around the perimeter of the basement to collect any water that comes into the basement. The water is then drained through the WaterGuard to the sump pump and is then pumped outside the home. These two products together provide great protection against a wet basement.

Sump Pump Installation in Columbus, NC

This homeowner was having issues with water getting into their basement, mainly through the wall separating the basement area, from the dirt crawlspace. Since this was a unique situation (usually a home either has a crawl space OR a basement and in some cases, they have both, but they are much more separated), there was a little more planning that had to go into this project.

The "before" picture shows the area in which the water was coming through the most, the corner of the wall. Don't worry, that is not mold! This was a waterproof spray/coating that the homeowner had tried, without any luck. IF these types of products work (and that's a big if), then get ready to keep having to respray constantly, because this is definitely not a permanent solution to water intrusion issues.

The "after" photo shows the same area, with a little wider view. It shows all of the products that were installed in the basement; DryTrak, the sump pump, and a little bit of CleanSpace Liner! All three of these products do a great job of getting the water out of the basement. First, the CleanSpace liner helps to direct the water down the wall and into the DryTrak. The DryTrak then directs the water to the sump pump. The sump pump that was installed was a SuperSump. Once the water enters the sump pump and gets to a certain level, the water is pumped out (through the white pipe coming out of the sump pump) and somewhere in the yard. Between these three products, the basement/crawlspace combo is protected from water intrusion.
