Customer Janet B. has owned and raised her family in this Columbia, SC home since 1989.  She moved to North Carolina over the past few years because of work reasons, but she wanted to fix the home now so that she can move back in when she retires.  After researching Cantey Foundation Specialists online, she called to make an appointment for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford arrived at the house and recommended that Janet utilize our patented Polylevel process, which would lift and stabilize part of her slab foundation.  Jamie also recommended eight of our steel-galvanized Push Piers to stabilize her home. Production Crew Foremen TJ Harden and Ryan Shirley installed the PolyLevel and Push Piers to our high Cantey standard. The cracks are gone and the foundation is now stabilized so that Janet can fully enjoy her home when she retires.

Marshall M. and his wife owned their Columbia home for many years, and they noticed settlement issues becoming worse and worse.  They wanted to fix the issues now to mitigate future problems.  After seeing Cantey Foundation Specialists' advertisement in the local Val-Pak, Marshall called for a free estimate.  System Design Specialist William Yarbrough inspected their home, and he noticed numerous large cracks in the exterior of the home, settlement in the garage, and drainage issues around the home.  Specialist William recommended that Push Piers would be installed to lift and stabilize the exterior of the home, while our patented PolyLevel could lift and stabilize the concrete slab garage.  He also recommended that Cantey install a drainage system around the home to allow rainwater to bypass and continue past the house rather than flooding the home and crawl space.  The Production Crew was the "Dream Team," which consists of three foreman, Dallas Darity, Justin Wheeler, and Junior Tamaya completed the project in a timely manner so that Marshall and his wife can be confident in living in their home for many years to come.

Jennifer B. is a homeowner that lives in Columbia, SC. She loves curling up on her porch with a good book in the evenings. For a while now her porch doors have been difficult to keep closed because of the floor sinking under them. This sinking had created a space between the doors and the floor. Jennifer wanted this fixed to renew her favorite place and protect her home from the outside elements. She and her husband got a home improvement booklet in the mail where they found Cantey Foundation Specialists and thought maybe they could help. Jennifer called in and made an appointment with System Design Specialist John Adams. After his inspection, John told Jennifer that he believed the best solution was Cantey's Push Pier system.  These Push Piers would be inserted into the ground next to the cracked area deep enough to find competent soil that could handle the weight of the home. Then a heavy-duty steel bracket is placed on the bottom of the foundation footing. The Push Pier then uses the push against the competent soil to raise the foundation of the home. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines, and Production Team Member Jose Lopez came out and effectively installed the Push Pier system. Jennifer is now back to enjoying her porch while no longer having to worry about the porch doors.

Howard S. built his perfect family home in Columbia, SC a few years ago. It has a big backyard perfect for his family as they enjoy spending time outside. Often, they spend the whole weekend appreciating the outdoors. A few weeks ago, Howard and his family had a normal day outside until his son discovered a crack forming on the side of their home. Howard was concerned about what this would mean for a home he worked so hard to create for his family. He needed to find a company that could fix it for good. While on the way to work the following morning, he heard an advertisement for Cantey Foundation Specialists. When he called in he was set up for an appointment with System Design Specialist Richard Murphy. Richard thoroughly inspected the area and the crawlspace to ensure he did not miss any details. After the inspection, Richard was sure that the solution that Howard needed was Cantey's Push Pier system. These Push Piers would be inserted into the ground next to the cracked area deep enough to find competent soil that could handle the weight of the home. Bob B. and his wife have lived in their Columbia, SC home for many years but it was finally time to downsize. Bob's wife is in poor health and cannot get around as well. He thought it would be best to downsize and sell their current home. Of course, before they could not sell their home until they made some repairs. The biggest of these was the cracks that were in the wall. The drywall cracks just kept coming back and Bob believed it had to do with the foundation so he called his friend Jamie who worked for Cantey Foundation Specialists. Jamie Beresford is a System Design Specialist and as soon as he heard of Bob's struggle, he scheduled an appointment with him. Jamie did a thorough inspection for Bob and determined that he needed some extra support for the floor to permanently stabilize the foundation. The SmartJack system could do just that and would come with a transferable warranty for the next owner. He explained that the system would start with holes that would be filled with engineered gravel. This would be a solid base that would not sink over time like soil. Then a metal plate would be installed on top of the gravel and a metal beam would be installed over the existing wooden beams. A SmartJack would then be secured to the top beam and the bottom plate. Once the SmartJack is level, it is then adjusted to create the lift that the floor above needs. Bob felt that this system would solve this reoccurring issue and allow him to sell his home so he signed the contract that day. Production Crew Leader Dallas Elgin, Production Crew Member Josh Hough, and Production Crew Member Tristan Humphries came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Bob can now sell his home with ease and he is thankful to the team at Cantey for helping him get his home ready.
