This customer in Madison, TN called Frontier due to moisture in their crawl space affecting their wooden floors in the home, causing warping. We decided on a full crawl space encapsulation. This project includes removing all the old moisture-damaged debris, sealing the vents off with SilverGlo Panels, adding Drainage matting to the floors, and covering the entire crawl space with our CleanSpace liner, installing a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and an IceGuard and LawnScape system.

We cleaned out all the debris, installed Drainage matting, covered the crawl space in CleanSpace liner, installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and sealed the crawl space vents and any other air leaks with SilverGlo panels and spray foam insulation.

Upon entering the basement, our design specialist discovered a bowing wall with a large crack running horizontally across the entire wall. After a discussion with the homeowner, we decided that our PowerBrace foundation wall repair system would be the best solution. This patented system is comprised of steel i-beams that run from floor to ceiling. This system stabilizes the bowing, cracked wall. The PowerBrace system can be tightened over time to keep the wall stable.

The homeowner of this Cottonwood home was looking to sell but a home inspector found some concerns that needed immediate attention. He had lived there for 15 years but the home was built in 1901 and was long over due for some attention.

The supports in the crawl space may have been sufficient at one time but were long overdue to be replaced with a better product. The galvanized steel of the SmartJacks were a much better permanent solution for this old house.
