Mr. Gebers: Thanks for the Christmas card & T-shirt which arrived this week.  I likely won't wear the shirt much (...at age 77 it's not really my style) but it's still a nice "pr" touch.  Mostly, I thought you'd like to hear how the pier-supports and encapsulation project performed. You completed my project on 3/11/2010...about one and a half months before the historic May 1, 2010 flood struck Nashville and vicinity. Weather reporters said we here in Goodlettsville got 7-1/2"  of rainfall one day and 8-1/2" the next, for a total of nearly 16" in less than 48 hours.  Catastrophic flooding occurred in ALL low-lying areas, but my house (...in Indian Hills) is 60' higher than Mansker Creek and it was the drainage/ underlayment/ french-drains that endured that "once-in-a-lifetime" test. I had paid extra for a 2" thick layer of sand and gravel beneath the underlayment plastic and I had NOT ONE DROP of water inside the encapsulation!!....but the drainage system collected and conveyed SO MUCH water that pressure-flow blew the cap off the outlet pipe out in my yard!!  Even though runoff was flowing curb-deep in the streets outside, my crawl space remained perfectly dry above the floor of the encapsulation.The system performed superbly well!! I've shown the project to many people and EVERY ONE was impressed. Two different men asked to look through the promotional booklet and literature that Brian Lenz left for me...one man has been a builder for a few decades...perhaps they've contacted you. I could have been more gracious in the "Job Review" questionnaire you asked me to complete--particularly to Jesse---but after witnessing the way the system performed I owe Jesse, and Evilio Lopez and his crew, EXTRA votes of praise for their good work.
