The owner of this property called because the home failed inspection after the inspector was unable to crawl through the crawl space. The crawl space was too wet and had faulty insulation that was falling off of the floor joists. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the property for a free crawl space inspection and estimate. Ross found many moisture issues in the crawl space and proposed a full crawl space encapsulation system. The system included installing a drainage matting, vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier, and closing off all outside air to the crawl space. This would make the crawl space a conditioned area, and prevent further moisture issues. The owner was pleased and proceeded with the crawl space repair from Olympic Restoration Systems.
This customer called stating that he believed there was mold in the crawl space. He not only wanted the mold removed, but also wanted us to encapsulate the crawl space to prevent future mold growth. We sent our first available System Designs Specialist, Ross, to the property for a free crawl space estimate. Ross inspected the crawl space and found evidence of moisture issues. Ross presented a solution to these issues to the homeowner, and the homeowner accepted the proposal. We then sent our professional team to the property to complete the crawl space encapsulation.

This customer was wanting something to resolve the water issues that they were having in their basement. They always had standing water on the floor of the basement. The walls had moisture and condensation, all the time, enough that there would be water running down the walls. If the walls did dry up some, there were water marks left that stained the walls. They had a sump pump in their basement, but they felt that was ineffective for anything, except for draining, once there was enough water to be pumped out. If they left anything on the floor, there was so much moisture, that there were rust rings left on the floor. They had their home heating/air system, and their water heater in the basement, and there was rust beginning to appear on the systems. They had them sitting on elevated wooden platforms. The wooden platforms had water damage to them. There was also a very musty odor in the basement.
Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their basement. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with basement waterproofing and a sump pump for their home.
