This home in Charlottesville had walls that were bowing, concerning the homeowner. They reached out to Fortress for a permanent solution on stabilizing those walls.

Our System Designer, Scott Llewellyn, went out to assess this home and recommended installing our GeoLock Wall Anchor System.

The GeoLock anchor system permanently stabilizes your foundation wall and, in many cases, can straighten your wall back toward its original position. Heavy-duty earth anchors are embedded in stable soil away from your foundation wall, and are then connected to steel anchors with long, galvanized rods. Once tightened, the anchors will hold the wall securely in its current position without any further adjustment.

This homeowner contacted Fortress Foundatin Solutions because they had some concerns about their foundation. There was a huge crack running along the floor in there home and it looked like one side had started to sink down. 

Fortress solved this problem by installing our Push Piers. Push Piers feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. They are installed next to the footings and attached with a heavy duty steel bracket. Soil is backfilled around the piers once stabilization and lifting is complete to finish the installation. 

In the 'before' photo, notice the concerning issue of shearing walls that posed significant risks to a homeowner in Saxe, Virginia. This foundation problem was expertly resolved by Fortress Foundation Solutions with our GeoLock Channel Anchor system. This solution permanently secures the entire wall, actively preventing further inward movement. As you can see in the 'after' photo, the correct installation at optimal points helps stabilize these walls efficiently.
