Drainage Matting was laid on the floor to create a thermal break in the space and help prevent surface water from building up under the vapor barrier. Then, the crawl space was encapsulated with CleanSpace! This ultra durable 20mil thick vapor barrier seals out moisture, pests, and drafty air.

This crawl space entrance was only being covered by a piece of plywood. An upgrade was definitely needed. We installed a crawl space door and covered window well. This crawl space entrance is now protected from the elements and is much easier to access for the homeowner.
