This Sturgis couple wanted to add an Egress window to their partially finished basement to make the area livable. When there is a livable space, building codes require the home to have an Egress window. Egress windows are windows that are large enough to allow a safe exit from the home in case of emergencies. A window well is also installed which has steps or a ladder. On top of all that, Egress windows allow a lot of natural light and fresh air into the basement which makes the room look larger and more inviting!

The floors in Michele’s home were unlevel because her house was settling due to poor crawl space supports. So she called our team and we installed SmartJack. SmartJack is a system produced to halt your sagging floors. Floors above crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the moisture and soils in your crawl space. The Smart Jack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods and a solid base to address any issues your crawl space may introduce to your floors. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization. 

A customer needed help leveling his concrete patio and sidewalk so he called our team. We installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using a new product to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. The new product used is a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.

This home on a lake in Vicksburg started to experience water in the finished basement when the water level began to rise. The carpet in their living space was soaked with water and needed to be removed— the homeowners knew that they never wanted to have this happen again. After installing a waterproofing system, they chose to replace their floors with a more durable alternative, ThermalDry flooring. The ThermalDry flooring Systems are the only inorganic subfloors in the world, making them resistant to water and mold. The floor comes in titles that sit on pegs which slightly raise them off the floor, so in the case that any water enters the basement, it can flow underneath the tiles to the perimeter waterproofing system. Not only is ThermalDry a smart choice, but the tiles come in a variety of colors and styles, like the wood ones shown in this after photo.

Dara called our team because she has many pipes in her crawl space and she is worried about them freezing. To ease her worries, we installed SilverGlo, a set of waterproof foam panels. It is used on the walls of your crawl space in order to insulate it. SilverGlo blocks all moisture and is made of inorganic material which prevents mold, rot or mildew from forming. Overall, it will keep Dara’s crawl space dry and insulated which will prevent any of her pipes from freezing.
