Cindy and Hector purchased their Brooklyn, Michigan home about a year ago and the basement has already flooded twice. Water would come in where the floor met the wall and saturated the ground. They want to be able to use the basement for additional storage, but didn’t want their belongings to be destroyed by water. The couple called Ayers and one of our competitors for inspections. Based on our longstanding reputation of professionalism and quality service, Cindy and Hector decided to go with Ayers. Our crew would install WaterGuard in their basement to permanently solve the problem. 

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top. These before and after photos show what WaterGuard looks like in the floor, and what it looks like after the finishing concrete has been poured. 

Cindy and Hector were so glad to be able to finally complete moving into their new home. The couple no longer has to worry about sopping up water and can just enjoy their home together. 

Rodney's home was in the process of being built and as part of that process, he was hoping to get a waterproofing system to keep his home dry. He trusted Ayers to do the job right, so he gave us a call. We set up a time for a free inspection and from there, our crew determined our WaterGuard System combined with our TrenchDrain would work great. The WaterGuard System is a subfloor drainage system that will collect water seeping in and direct the leaks to the sump pump. This is placed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation to prevent any clogging issues. Then we installed our TrenchDrain which is perfect for doorway entrances where water leaks arise. This product consists of a grated opening on top of a basement drainage pipe installed in the subfloor. Any water that passes over the system will fall through the grated openings and be directed to the sump pump. Rodney was satisfied with these waterproofing systems that keep his new home well-protected!

Jackie went into her basement and was shocked at how much water was on the floor. Knowing she didn't know how to fix it, she figured it was time to call Ayers. We sent a team of specialists to Jackie's house to inspect her basement and recommend the best solution possible. Upon examination, it was clear Jackie needed the TripleSafe sump pump system. As a system, TripleSafe has three pumps for all circumstances, making the system adaptable and proactive against pump failure. If the first pump should fail, there's a backup, and if the power goes out, there's a battery-powered pump to ensure your system continues working. Jackie is ecstatic to have her basement dry once again!

This homeowner wanted to get an egress window installed in their basement in place of one of the smaller windows. This is a safe and smart idea as they plan to build a few bedrooms in the basement. Due to building code, if you have bedrooms in your basement you need to have two ways to escape in case of an emergency. The first one being the door and the second is usually a window large enough to climb out of. We were able to install a nice, large egress window in this basement. It's now ready for bedrooms to be added and lived in safely.

Don and his wife bought this home in January to live in when they retire in 5-10 years. They are currently working on finishing the basement but have heavy water intrusion that is halting that project. They are hoping to get everything around the home done and fixed up so they have nothing to worry about once they actually retire.
