Mark was concerned about moisture he found seeping into his basement. He never liked the eye sore and knew it was time to act to prevent further damage to his belongings or his home. He researched his options and called Ayers for help, so we sent a team of experts to evaluate the space and provide a solution. The crew suggested installing CleanSpace, an antimicrobial-lined vapor barrier, to eliminate moisture and reduce mold growth. CleanSpace is applied to the basement walls without interruption to ensure complete encapsulation. Mark loves his clean basement!

Rebecca and her son, Sy, both suffer from severe allergies, with Sy being particularly sensitive to mold. She noticed a musty smell coming from beneath her Farmington Hill, MI home, which made her even more concerned after finding mold around the HVAC registers. With plans to stay in her home for quite a few years, she wanted to tackle the problem now to protect both their health and the home’s future resale value.

After a thorough inspection, our System Design Specialist recommended installing a CleanSpace liner, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and crawl space vent covers. The CleanSpace liner seals off the crawl space from moisture, pests, and outdoor air—the main contributors to mold growth and poor air quality. The SaniDry Sedona helps keep humidity low, reducing the conditions mold needs to thrive.

By the project's end, Rebecca and Sy could immediately breathe easier, knowing their home was now shielded against allergens and mold was a concern of the past making her very happy with the results.

Homeowner Julie became concerned about the entry to her crawl space due to significant water intrusion. This issue resulted in a musty, wet environment and signs of water damage. Ayers provided Julie with an affordable solution by encapsulating the area using our CleanSpace product, which creates a vapor barrier to prevent water from running along the walls. Additionally, we installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump to remove excess water from the home. To further protect the space, we applied spray foam insulation to eliminate any gaps.

One of the most satisfying clean ups we work on is with CleanSpace.  See, crawl spaces are usually gross; there's a reason for that...who would care?  Most people never go in their crawl spaces so generally it looks really bad and you can even find some critters running around as well!  CleanSpace allows for some peace of mind in terms of looks.  But it really doesn't stop there, energy savings can be very substantial due to humidity entering the house through the ground.  So not only does your CrawlSpace turn into a nice and dry environment that helps you to save money, all of those creepy crawlers can't live in there anymore!  

We sent our team at Ayers to a home in National City, Michigan, to help a customer encapsulate his dirt crawl space. Outside air and moisture will accumulate without proper protection, leading to detrimental issues in the long run. Our suggestion to Jerry was to install CleanSpace. We placed this antimicrobial waterproof liner along the crawl space floor and walls. The liner provides a vapor barrier between the damp soil and the home. Excess moisture leads to nasty mold and bacteria growth. Jerry's crawl space will remain protected for years to come!
