Jo called our team because he had uneven and cracking concrete in his garage, sidewalk and driveway. We installed PolyLevel, a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using a new product to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. The new product used is a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.

One of Carol's basement walls was bowing. Knowing it would cause more issues in the future, Carol contacted our team. We installed the PowerBrace system in order to keep her walls secure. In addition, over time the system can be tightened to not only stabilize the wall, but to also straighten it to its original position.

Mark had a bowing wall that he wanted fixed so he called our team. We installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place. Outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, but this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.

The wall was starting to bow. Stairstep cracks are a tell-tale sign that the soil outside your home is putting too much pressure on the foundation walls.  The owner said that was no cracks in the upper levels of the house, thankfully. 

Wall anchors work well to fix almost any type of bowing wall. They are also installed independently of the floor system so there's no additional stress on floor joists. It works to straighten your wall over time because it can be tightened. The only time this system isn't possible is if there isn't ample room on the outside of your home to install the system.

Would you feel safe in a basement where there are a bunch of cracks in the wall? Neither would I, those basement walls are holding the whole house up, so if they collapsed... that would be terrible. Here at Ayers we are committed to make homes safe. For Example, this home in Saint Joseph called us about their basement walls and how they noticed slight bowing. We came to the home and were able to fix the issue before it became it major problem (the homeowners made a very smart decision calling us). We were able to then install Wall Anchors. We install these by digging a tiny hole in that are a few feet away from the home. Then we drill a steel rod through a 1 inch hole in the basement wall. After that, the rod connects to an anchor that is placed in the hole of the soil. Once we place the plates on afterwards, we have permanently stabilized the basement. So now the homeowner doesn't have to worry about an unsafe basement ever again.
