STEM WALL REPAIR - Excavate near damaged stem wall. Chip out existing failed concrete to fractured rock and behind existing rebar. Remove existing rebar. Replace with non-ferrous composite. Coat patch with cement patch. Backfill excavated area. Clean up & remove all debris. Quantity listed is in linear feet. AZFS warrants the replaced rebar against rust for the life of the structure.

Excessive Span Length: The length of the span exceeded the capability of the existing support members.

Increased Floor Load: Additional load added after the initial construction exceeded the original design values.

Moisture and Rot: High moisture levels in the crawl space had weakened the support members over time.

Installation Process:

Daniel, our skilled Foreman, led the installation team to implement the SmartJack® system. The process involved:

Preparation: Removing debris and preparing the crawl space by leveling the ground and ensuring a stable base for installation.

Base Installation: A well-compacted crushed stone base was laid to enhance support and distribute pressure evenly to the existing soils.

SmartJack® Installation: The team installed the SmartJack® steel components, designed to support up to 30,000 pounds, ensuring the adjustable jacks provided strong and reliable support.

Corrosion Protection: The SmartJack® components were protected with a triple-layer, in-line galvanized coating to prevent corrosion and ensure long-term durability.

Adjustments: Final adjustments were made to the all-thread rods to ensure the system was perfectly aligned and ready to support the axial compression loads.

The SmartJack® installation effectively addressed the structural issues, providing a robust and adjustable support system for the crawl space. The homeowner reported a significant improvement in the stability and evenness of their floors, with peace of mind knowing that the SmartJack® system could be adjusted in the future if needed.
