It's been almost a year since we had the crawl space redone and I wanted to report the distinct advantage that the renovation did for us. We visited the booth in the home show and although there were similar services, we chose IBS because of their forthright professionalism in dealing with us at the show and especially their follow-up after the show. We received the quote (ok, gasp) but assured ourselves that the product was superior and would give a return both financially and environmentally in warmth. The job took about 12 hours to complete with no disturbance to ourselves, and no evidence of any renovation although the entrance to the crawl space was in our family room. It took some time to determine that there was significant benefit (because of summer), but Barbara found the floors much warmer immediately. We even thought the house was a bit cooler during the heat. Once the cool weather began, we have noticed warmth and in the past six months our heating bills have reduced by 10% as a direct result of the insulation. The insulated crawl space is now so clean that I have no hesitation to go down there from time to time to check out our infrastructure and even conducted tours to others who were amazed at the improvement! Great website - explanation of what was involved was just what we needed.  We are looking forward to a dry basement for the winter.  It looks amazing too - nice and clean - like the web photos.  So nice to have workers show up when they say they will.  

WaterGuard system!  Unable to do outside drainage so this was the perfect solution for us.  I was very impressed with the estimator and also the girls in the office.  All very polite, courteous and knowledgeable and very prompt also.  

Some very good news to pass on to potential customers.  My BCHydro bill, cut-off date Nov. 8, 2011 was $225 for 32 days. On Nov. 16, your team sealed and insulated my crawl space.  Today I received my new Hydro bill, cut-off date Dec 7 for 29 days.  This time the bill was $113.  So it would appear that the sealed and insulated crawl space has pretty well cut my Hydro bill in half, and is saving me about $100 per month during these winter months!   Thanks for your work in making a huge improvement to my home. Note from IBSG: This customer heats with an electric furnace and the ductwork runs through his crawl space.  

The "solution" cost only a fraction of some of the alternatives - none of which were "guaranteed" that if done would fix the leak.
