This homeowner gave us a call because they noticed a musty odor in their home that they suspected was coming from their crawl space. After one of our System Design Specialists did an inspection, he found that the crawl space was damp and mold was growing in a couple of places, causing the odor. One of the children living in the home was already dealing with asthma and allergies, so this homeowner wanted to get his basement fixed as quickly as possible to protect his home and family. In order to fix this crawl space, we installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier encapsulation system, along with WaterGuard drainage, and a TripleSafe sump pump. All of these components will work together to keep moisture out of the crawl space, and the CleanSpace vapor creates a layer of non-organic material, so it will never facilitate the growth of mold.
