A crawlspace in Millstadt, Illinois, had some humidity that was seeping up into the home above it and needed to be sealed off. Woods came out and installed the CleanSpace System to encapsulate the space. This highly durable sheet of material is placed both on the walls and the floor of the crawlspace. This barrier keeps out insects, mold, and water. It also brightens up the space as well. With this install in place, the crawlspace looks much better and will no longer be fostering any unpleasant smells or unwanted moisture.
Kimball C. of Brighton, Illinois discovered that his home's crawl space was collecting water after big storms. He knew that standing water could cause rotting and mold growth. He called Woods Basement Systems in order to avoid those problems.
Design specialist Jacob K. assessed the situation and decided the best option was to install a CleanSpace encapsulation system. Foreman James L. then traveled to the home to get the job started.
The CleanSpace encapsulation system, pictured above, was placed on the floors and up the walls of the crawl space. It is a durable and heavy duty liner that acts as a vapor barrier and drains any leaks that might occur behind it.
Kimball C. no longer has to worry about his home's crawl space holding water. He now has a dry and waterproof crawl space.
Charles and Marcia C. of Alton, Illinois were distraught by their wet, musty basement. The water leaking into their basement caused mold. Adam R., system design specialist designed a solution to keep the basement dry and the mold away.
Foreman Juan H. installed the CleanSpace wall system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that prevents water from escaping into the basement. Because it is inorganic, CleanSpace does not support mold growth. Charles and Marcia's basement is now dry and mold-free.
The crawl space of Peter B.’s Alton, IL home was very wet. The plastic liner that he had along the floors was flimsy and did little to keep moisture out. He couldn’t use the space for storage without worries of water damage so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended encapsulating the crawl space.
Woods secured CleanSpace over the foundation walls and dirt floors of the crawl space. CleanSpace is a very thick and durable plastic moisture barrier that prevents water from entering the space through the walls and floors, instead directing it down to the perimeter drainage system. It’s mold resistant and its bright white color helps to maximize the available light within the crawl space.
Peter B. of Alton, IL thought he’d taken care of the water problem in his crawl space. He’d had a sump pump installed but was still getting leaks. The sump pump was filled with mud and no longer working so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods found the best solution would be an encapsulation system including a new pump.
Woods replaced the old pump with the SmartSump. The SmartSump collects intruding water from the drainage system and ejects it safely away from the crawl space through its discharge lines. It contains a powerful cast-iron pump within its sump liner. The sump liner features an airtight lid that is designed to work perfectly with the rest of the encapsulation system and has the WaterWatch alarm system built in to warm homeowners of potential plumbing leaks.
