A support beam was failing to support a corner of a home in O'Fallon, MO, so the SmartJack System was installed. This is a steel support system that will permanently stabilize the corner of the home. It will be lifted back up to its original position and kept in place. This problem will now be solved once and for all!

A crawlspace in Troy, Illinois, needed some stabilization. Woods came out and installed new support piers to reinforce the floor joists above. The SmartJack system consists of custom-cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. With this system in place, this crawlspace is sure to stay safe and stable for many years to come.

This veteran's lending building located on Scott Air Force base was having some issues with the interior flooring. Several portions of the floor were sagging and bouncing, causing the building's owners to worry about a possible floor collapse. A Woods Basement Systems team visited the home and, after determining that the cause was rotting floor joists in the crawl space, got to work fixing the issue. They installed several Smart Jacks, capable of supporting well over 60,000 pounds each, in the crawl space underneath the joists. This was the quite the upgrade from the makeshift cinder-block supports that were there before. The floors are now level and safe, and they will be for the life of the structure. 

This settled basement needed a permanent repair to restore the foundation. Team Woods resolved this issue by installing push piers into the footing of the foundation. Push piers are used to lift and lock the foundation back into place after settlement. Now this basement is safe and sound thanks to push piers!

A foundation in a Worden, IL basement was bowing in, causing cracks to form and water to leak out of them. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed to permanently stabilize the foundation wall. This will eliminate any further inward movement, and reverse the effects of wall failure. It will also straighten the walls back to their original position and close the cracks to prevent water leakage. To solve the water issue, a CleanSpace Wall system was installed. This will stop water vapor from permeating the basement walls, and drain any wall leaks down to WaterGuard. This perimeter drainage system will intercept water between the floor and wall joint and drain it towards the sump system to be pumped out of the house. This basement will remain dry and stable for years to come!
