The existing front porch for this home in Cynthiana was all bent out of shape. Large gaps revealed themselves throughout the driveway and front porch, which is a cause for concern. Large gaps not only look bad, they can decrease the lifetime of your slabs. That's why we leveled these slabs out with our PolyLevel foam, and then sealed them with our sealant. The result was a happy homeowner!
This basement in Mount Vernon, KY, had a monolithic foundation, and water seeped in and left dark stains along the walls. We installed a two-stage waterproofing system using DryTrak against the wall to capture seepage and a perforated drain a couple feet in from the floor to handle groundwater. Both connect to a new SuperSump pump for reliable discharge. BrightWall panels finished the job by covering the stained walls and giving the basement a clean, bright look.
This two-stage system is designed specifically for monolithic foundations. If you have a monolithic foundation, and you want to see how it works, be sure to click on our DryTrak page to learn more about our baseboard drainage pipe that requires no excavation or explore a past case study here. This specific family was troubled by a persistently damp and leaky basement in their suburban home. Seeking a lasting solution, they contacted us and were introduced to our team, experts with a comprehensive plan. We recommended the Ultra Sump 4, a powerful sump pump system, along with the Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to combat excess humidity. To tackle water seepage, a trench drain system was proposed under the door, while CleanSpace wall encapsulation would prevent moisture from permeating the basement walls. The family agreed, and with the project completed, their basement transformed into a dry and safe haven, where they could now create cherished family memories without the worry of water-related issues.
The renovators for this newly purchased home knew that the epoxy sealant applied to the foundation walls was not going to help this basement stay dry. You see, epoxy sealants and other sealants of the same nature don't fix the root cause of basement leaking issues. The real problem is all the water pressure sitting on the outside of the foundation walls, and the best way to relieve that pressure is an interior perimeter waterproofing system. We installed our system equipped with subfloor drains, a sump pump, and a vapor barrier. This system invites the built up water through weeping holes near the bottom of the foundation, (as seen in the before photo) and discharges all the water far away from the base of the home. After the system was installed, the renovators were ready to finish the basement however they like.
This basement had an existing waterproofing system that eventually failed. We decided to replace their outdated system with our state-of-the-art interior perimeter system. The system we designed for this basement included our WaterGuard subfloor drainage system, our SuperSump sump pump system, and our BrightWall wall paneling system. The WaterGuard was installed all around the entire perimeter of the basement, ensuring all possible entrances for water leaks are directed to the sump pump. Our SuperSump is able to discharge 2,280 gallons of water per hour. Our BrightWall panels cover all the stained walls and help channel leaks from the walls down into the subfloor drains. The result of this project is a clean, dry, beautiful basement.
