Bradley S. of Fergus Falls, MN had cracking foundation walls in his basement, and he wanted to get his wall repaired rather than replaced. He saw that American Waterworks provides services in his area, so he got in touch with our office line and set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian. Ian went to his home, thoroughly inspected the foundation walls, and drew out a solution that worked for him and his home repair needs. Bradley was confident in Ian's proposal of our wall anchors system, so he signed Ian's contract, wrote out a deposit, and scheduled a date for the installation. 

Our Foremen, Ryan and Corey, and their production team began the project by digging smalls holes around the entire perimeter of the home. From the inside of the basement, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the inside of the foundation wall to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of each rod, our team installed an anchor plate, which anchors the rod into the soil. From the inside, our team installed a wall anchor to the end of each rod. The combination of the anchor plate, metal rod, and wall anchor allows the wall to stabilize and straighten back into its original position. To complete the project, our team backfilled in each hole beyond the foundation and ensured the yard looked neater than when they found it. Next, our crew sealed the cracks with caulk, which gives the walls a nice appearance and prevents moisture from seeping inside the cracks. Dale, from Fergus Falls, MN, reached out to us when he began to notice that one of the walls of his basement was beginning to bow inward. Dale knew that a deteriorating foundation was not only dangerous for the household but could potentially harm any resale of the house that might be in the future. Dale used his FREE estimate and our Fargo-based Design Specialist, Ian, was at the property soon after that. When Ian arrived he got to work doing a thorough inspection of the root of the cause, and the severity of the damage and made recommendations as to how we could help Dale restore his wall. Ian reported that the bowing wall was being caused by the soil on the other side of the wall pushing it inward. He recommended Dale take action soon and, based on the bowing wall, was able to recommend our PowerBrace system to correct the issue. Our PowerBrace solution is a system of I-shaped beams that work to stabilize and straighten bowing walls over a period of time. 

The Foreman for the project, Zach, and his crew got to work and ended up placing 12 PowerBraces around the perimeter of the basement in an effort to stabilize and straighten the problem wall.

A homeowner from Fergus Falls, MN, was growing concerned about his front walkway. Over the years the homeowner had noticed that the concrete had begun to sink, slowly pulling away from the home and leave large gaps next to the foundation. Worried about whether or not water would leak into his basement through the gaps, the homeowner decided to search for Minnesota concrete lifting. After speaking with friends and family and doing his own research online, the homeowner decided to get a few quotes, one of which was from American Waterworks. 

A few weeks after scheduling, our Design Specialist, Jackson P, was headed out to the home to complete his free inspection. When Jackson concluded his evaluation, he sat down with the homeowner to go over next steps. Jackson informed the homeowner that the concrete was indeed shifting, and would need to be fixed. He went on to say that American Waterworks could aide the situation with the help of our PolyLevel. This unique polyurethane foam expands as it's injected below uneven concrete. As the foam expands it slowly fills the empty voids below the concrete left over by soil erosion. Jackson also recommended our NexusPro; a silicone-based joint sealant that is applied to the cracks and joints of the concrete after the lift is completed. This specially formulated product works to provide the concrete with long-lasting flexibility while defending the vulnerable soil below from harsh weather conditions and UV rays. The homeowner was thrilled to know he did not need to fully replace his concrete walkway and decided to schedule his project on the spot. 

Several weeks later our Foreman, Charlie, and his Co-Foreman were at the home lifting the areas of sunken concrete. When the job had been completed our customer was thrilled to know that his concrete problems had been handled professionally, and non-invasively.
