In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Eric H., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the foundation walls and identified which needed to be secured. After reporting his findings, Eric explained the importance of taking early action against the foundation movement. Store-bought fixes do not resolve the cause of the issue, making it extremely important for a foundation repair expert to assess the situation to determine the right solution to prevent further movement. To stabilize the foundation walls, Eric recommended installing GeoLock, our wall anchoring system. This works by anchoring the interior wall to stable soil several feet away from the foundation. Happy to see that the product comes with a warranty, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Fernando P., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. Then, the earth anchor is placed and connected to the interior wall plate with a steel pole. Once both plates are connected, they are tightened. The crew successfully installed 8 GeoLock anchors.

Our production crew started the installation by digging out the soil surrounding the home where the foundation was settling. Then, they installed heavy-duty steel brackets below the footing of the foundation. Next, rugged, interlocking steel pier sections are hydraulically driven through the bracket until bedrock or stable soil is reached. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load-bearing soil. The installation took roughly two days to complete, but now the foundation of John’s home is permanently stabilized, and it is ready to be put on the market!

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production team began the installation by digging 13 holes outside of the home and inserting a long, medal rod in each hole from the exterior soil to the interior foundation. Next, our team screwed on and tightened a GeoLock Wall Anchor on the end of each rod to secure and straighten the wall into its natural position. Lastly, Jesus and his crew backfilled the holes and replaced the soil. Larry and Sandy were grateful we were able to restore the structual integrity and value of their home! 

A homeowner in Winger, MN, grew concerned regarding the crumbling foundation outside their home. First, they removed the deteriorated sections along the walls. Then, they installed wire mesh and wall recovered concrete walls to build them back up. The wall was smoothed to give a finished look.
