This concerned homeowner called because her floors were soft and sagging in places. She was also noticing some cracks in the walls of her dining room. They had tried patching them up, but it was obvious they were getting worse. The home was settling and needed to be stabilized. 

Ransom Ford performed the inspection and found our solutions would work well with her current issues. We were able to seal off the crawlspace with our encapsulation system, permanently keeping moisture and mold from coming in and making the wood soft. Then we installed smart jacks on the beams that needed the extra lift and support. We were able to raise her floors where they were sagging and permanently secure her foundation.

This homeowner reached out to us because their subfloors were swelling with moisture, which had caused their floors to bulge to a dangerous degree. If you take a look at the before picture our team captured, we're sure you may be able to tell why! That old vapor barrier just simply did not stand the test of time. Just a standard vapor barrier already isn't enough to fully protect against moisture, and it didn't help that this was one was torn and almost swallowed in mud/dirt. Lots of areas were still exposed for moisture to create an issue, and we came with the goal in mind to hit each and everyone of those problematic areas. Moisture in the crawlspace was causing this 1400 square foot home to experience severe musty smells and growing fungi. Corey Becker inspected the crawlspace and found their problem is something we can fix permanently! We sealed off all the vents to the outside, installed a sump pump in the ground to catch the ground water, and totally encapsulated the crawlspace, keeping it safe from moisture and humidity. Finally, we added a dehumidifier that connects to the pump to regulate the air quality.
