The underside of this home was far too humid and it was obvious that if left alone, moisture damage was soon to come. In order to help prevent this, our team was sent out to design and install one of our encapsulation systems. This system involves sealing off the crawl space and turning it into a regulated, dry environment completely separate from the outside. A large part of this process is our CleanSpace Liner. This liner isn't just laid in the crawl space, it is secured to the floor, walls, and supports of the crawl space, and its much higher durability sets it apart from your standard vapor barrier. These homeowners reached out to us to see what could be done about their floors that felt too soft to walk on in some spots. After sending one of our design specialist out to go take a look, they found that moisture and mold had caused considerable damage to the subfloors all throughout their home. Fortunately, we came prepared with an immediate fix, and a long-lasting fix! Our wood-working crew was able to get that old wood out and replace it with a fresh new and secure subfloor. Of course, if we were to stop here, this new subfloor would eventually suffer the same problems. That is where our encapsulation system comes in! Underneath the subfloor, is now the best protection against moisture available. Their now sealed crawl space contains our CleanSpace Liner as a vapor barrier, a crawl space dehumidifier, and a sump pump system. Moisture is being tackled from every direction and form, meaning this new subfloor, and the floors they choose to lay on top, will remain solid for many, many years to come!

A buildup of moisture in his crawlspace prompted this customer to give our office a call. He was starting to see his floors buckle and found mold on the joists under his home. Melissa performed the inspection and built a custom solution for his home. The crawlspace was a little low sitting right at 14-18" but we still managed to get the work done. 

We cleaned out the loose debris and installed our encapsulation system. The home was around 1,500 square feet so this job took about 2 days to complete. Most of our jobs are well under 3 days worth of work and our crews are meticulous about keeping your home clean during the install!
