This homes crawl space hadn't been checked on in over a decade, and it was in need of a good revamp. From its water stains, cobwebs, old vapor barrier out of place, and mold spores, the space was overdue for some work. To keep the space healthy and easier to maintain, the homeowners chose to encapsulate. 

This homes crawlspace had mold spores and mud encasing their old vapor barrier. For a long term solution to battle their moisture issues they had our crawlspace encapsulation system installed. 

This homeowner had been reattaching and changing out their crawl space insulation every few years. It would droop, they would have someone fix it. Every few years this also included them needing to treat for mold or mildew. Ultimately they knew their had to be a better way. For this reason they began searching online for other options for insulating the crawl space. Through this they learned about encapsulation. Encapsulation insulated the space along the dirt floor and the foundation walls, bringing the homes HVAC system into the homes envelope, ultimately lowering the heating and cooling costs in a way that actually lasts. 

To begin we cleared out the falling fiberglass, old vapor barrier, and general debris. We then installed a full interior perimeter drain system. This consists of a perforated pipe with a silt sock over it. This wraps through the space and terminates at the low point where a SuperSump Plus then pumps the water safely away from the homes foundation. We then seal shut each vent and lay TerraBlock insulation over the dirt floor. CleanSpace is then wrapped through the space, anchored to the walls, under each wooden post, and fully sealed into place. A SaniDry dehumidifier was then installed to keep the relative humidity down so mold or mildew couldn't exist here. Spray Foam insulation was applied to the foundation walls and the job completed. With insulation made to last within the crawl space, this owner can now enjoy lower heating and cooling costs year after year. 

The previous drainage system installed in this home was flawed and the pipe clogged and broke. We came in and installed our crawlspace waterproofing system and a new discharge or drain line. This will make sure that the water will be directed out of the crawlspace and away from the home.

A damp crawlspace is an ideal space for mold and critters to inhabit. This crawlspace had a full encapsulation with a SmartSump pump, TerraBlock crawlspace insulation, SilverGlo insulation on the walls, and a CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep it dry and healthy.
