In Saint-Pierre-Baptiste, we addressed a crawl space with a significant moisture problem. The space initially showed signs of condensation, potential material deterioration, and an environment conducive to mold growth.
To remedy the situation, we installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system to create an effective barrier between the ground and the structure. This solution limits moisture ingress and stabilizes the crawl space environment.
A drainage membrane was also installed to direct water toward the drainage system and the TripleSafe pump, ensuring continuous management of water infiltration.
Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was added to control humidity levels and prevent mold growth as well as musty odors.
This project represents a comprehensive intervention aimed at protecting the structure and improving the conditions of the crawl space in a sustainable manner.
A customer in Saint-Benjamin was struggling with a crawl space that was causing problems: excessive humidity, unpleasant odors and visible signs of mold. To permanently sanitize the space, we performed complete encapsulation.
The installation of our CleanSpace membrane waterproofed the floor and walls, blocking any rising damp. To complement this, a SmartSump sump pump was installed to efficiently evacuate water, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier now ensures dry, healthy air at all times.
With these combined solutions, the crawl space is now fully protected!
In Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, the customer was dealing with a damp and problematic crawl space, with mold, odors, cold floors, and the risk of wood deterioration. To solve these problems, our team implemented a complete encapsulation solution, combining a drainage matting to remove water and prevent stagnation, CleanSpace® membrane covering the walls and floor to create a waterproof barrier against moisture and contaminants, and a ventilation system and integrated sump pump to ensure a dry, healthy, and permanently protected crawl space. Thanks to this intervention, the customer now benefits from a secure, insulated, and durable space, protected from moisture, odors, and structural damage.
In Saint-Cyprien, our client was dealing with a damp crawl space, with soggy soil, persistent odors, heavy air in the house, and a real risk of mold, wood deterioration, and problems related to excessive moisture. The space contributed to increased indoor humidity, affecting comfort and air quality.
To remedy the situation, we first installed a drainage membrane on the floor to capture water from the ground and efficiently direct it to the drainage point. Next, we completely encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace membrane, creating a waterproof barrier against moisture, water vapor, and infiltration from the ground. To stabilize humidity levels and improve indoor air quality, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, designed to continuously control humidity and reduce the risk of condensation and odors. Finally, a SmartDrain pump was installed to automatically drain water from under the membrane, preventing future accumulation.
Today, the crawl space is clean, dry, and protected, contributing to better energy performance, protection of the home's structure, and a healthier environment year-round. This project demonstrates the importance of a comprehensive approach combining drainage, encapsulation, dehumidification, and active water management for a sustainably sanitized crawl space in Quebec.
Problem
Our client in Delson, QC, had persistent water infiltrations within their basement, despite the presence of a sump pump. Following a detailed and free inspection, our specialist Patrick noticed that the existing drainage system faced major issues. Firstly, the discharge lines were obstructed by the soil. Secondly, the pump was constantly functional, indicating its inadequacy in dealing with the infiltrated water.
Solution
Our team installed the WaterGuard interior drain system along the perimeter of the basement. This patented system is designed to prevent clogging. Moreover, it is straightforward and quick to install, unlike French drains that require excavation.
Next, we implemented the SuperSump sump pump system, including two distinct pumps. These pumps will evacuate any infiltrated water, even during a power outage, as the second pump operates on battery power. Finally, we installed a new discharge line, connected to the pump, to direct the water outside.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
