Muddy, smelly crawl space in Dallas, Tx caused floors to cup and high humidity in the home before encapsulation.

This homeowner called after he noticed a moisture problem in his garage. He then investigated the crawl space, and realized there was a moisture problem there as well. He wanted to know if the two issues were related, and if so, how to fix the problem. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the home for a free crawl space encapsulation estimate. After inspecting the crawl space, Ross found evidence of moisture issues that led to moisture problems in the garage as well. Ross presented a solution to dry the crawl space out permanantly, which would keep it from causing issues throughout the rest of the home, including the garage. The homeowner accepted and proceeded with a full crawl space encapsulation system from Olympic Restoration Systems.

The Production Team completed the encapsulation process, which included a drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, SmartSump sump pump, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. 

The customer wanted to add fans to his crawl space. He also inquired if he needed to have more vents in the crawl space, due to the high humidity that he was experiencing. He wanted to have something that would last, if in the event he sold the property, that he could walk away, knowing that whatever he did to the crawl space, would still be good for the next owner.

Our team also installed a sump pump and dehumidifier, along with closing off all outside air to the crawl space.
