This homeowner called as she was preparing her pier and beam house to sell. She stated that the sprinklers were draining into the crawl space, creating a moisture issue. She wanted to find a way to dry her crawl space out. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Darrin, to the property for a free crawl space inspection and estimate. After inspecting the crawl space, Darrin gave the homeowner a free crawl space repair quote. The homeowner accepted, and we sent our Production Team to the home to begin the crawl space remediation.

To dry out the wet crawl space, our Production Team began by removing all debris and regrading the soil. They then installed a drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Next, they installed a SmartSump sump pump in the crawl space. Finally, they finished by installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and sealing off any outside air leakage into the crawl space. This completed the crawl space encapsulation.

He formulated a custom solution for the crawl space that included closing off outside air and installing drainage matting, vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier. The Production Team also closed off any outdoor air from entering the crawl space, which included closing any crawl space vents and sealing block walls. This turned the wet crawl space into a dry, conditioned area.
